A very unique experience! Something I’ve always thought looked cool and it turns out it’s pretty easy to do in Steamboat and not too expensive.

They picked us up at the hotel along with three other people (a nice small group) and off we went on a scenic drive to the saddleback area.

Once we arrived we got the low down on all the dogs and helped get then harnessed for our trek. I wanted to steal all of the dogs, they were so sweet and affectionate, how could you not? Maybe I could say one ran away….to my hotel room.

We got instructions on how to maneuver the sled and were on our way. It’s so cool to see how much the dogs love their job, they get so excited and literally leap ahead when you get going. Hubby and I took turns driving during the 7 mile loop.

When we got back we were treated with hot beverages and cookies and got to spend more lovey time with the pups. A big thanks to our great guides Joseph and Colin, you were fantastic!

I would definitely recommend this as the perfect half day non-ski excursion!!!!

We loved Grizzly T and scenery on their south tour was beautiful. The entire family got to drive the sled, even our 11 year old.

Winter sports bucket list!

A van picks you up at your condo and takes you to Stagecoach State Park. In the warming hut they check to make sure you’ll be warm enough… they have extra winter boots if need be for use. Then outside to meet the dogs, learn how to harness them, and load into your sled. One drives and one sits inside the cocoon… my wife decided she wanted to stay warm so I got to drive the entire time… fun!!! We had 6 sleds with a snowmobile in the front, middle and rear to guide and help out if necessary. The dogs are amazing and so much fun to be with! One of the neatest things I’ve ever done. Special thanks to Cody for all his help!

Cold but fun – South Trail

5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago via mobile

The day we visited was particularly cold, but the staff went above and beyond to make sure my kids (9 & 6) and I were as warm as possible. Learning to drive the sled was incredibly easy, the dogs do most of the work. The cookies and hot chocolate were appreciated at the end of the ride. My daughter loved giving the dogs some treats before we were dropped right back to the front door of our condo. Pricey but worth it for a great experience.
